Woodpecker RV Retreat is 2.5 miles from Talkeetna where you can schedule flightseeing tours and enjoy amazing views of Denali.  Or hop on the mighty Alaska Railroad for a scenic ride through the Alaska wilderness. A riverboat tour offers the opportunity to view wildlife as you cruise the water ways of the area.

If hunting or fishing is your thing, you won't find a more plentiful area than the MatSu.  Hunting and fishing guides are experienced and can outfit you for the hunt or fishing experience of a lifetime.

The area around Talkeetna and Woodpecker RV Retreat is full of hiking and biking trails for you to enjoy.

Float down the Talkeetna, Susitna, and the Chulitna river on a rafting tour, or take in the 18 hrs of daylight enjoying Tigger Lake which is within walking distance of the park.

All summer long you'll be able to browse the hand made arts and crafts made by local artisans at local craft fairs or at the many shops in mid-town Talkeetna.

Take in the nightlife in one of our local watering holes while enjoying the local musicians....or just relax in our park like setting.

We have a great location between Anchorage and Denali.  Our spaces are 15' by 50' with dedicated 30 amp power and water available. Pull your RV in for the night on the way to Denali State Park or make a week of it!
We are located close enough to town to be convenient but not so close you have to deal with the bustling activity of downtown Talkeetna.
